Privacy policy
In short
Subloupe stores the subscriptions you enter only in your browser (localStorage) on this device. We don’t have accounts, we don’t connect to your bank, and we don’t receive the data you type.
What we collect
Nothing that you enter in the app is sent to us. We don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts.
Statement import (Beta)
When you import a bank or credit card statement (CSV, OFX or QFX), the file is read and analysed on this device, in your browser. It is never uploaded: no file contents or transactions are sent to us, to Netlify or to anyone else, and the site’s Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any other server. The importer is code served from this site; it uses no third-party service, worker or CDN, and it works offline.
We don’t store your transactions. When you close the import window, the file data is discarded. Only the subscriptions you confirm are saved, like any subscription you add by hand. To recognise what’s new next time, the app also keeps a small import memory in localStorage on this device: for each recurring merchant, its normalised name, last amount, last charge date and billing cycle, plus the merchants you marked “Not a subscription”. You can erase it at any time with “Forget import memory” in the ⋯ menu or in the import window; “Delete all data…” erases it too.
Hosting
Subloupe is a static website hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States). There is no server-side code, database, account system or form: the app runs entirely in your browser, and your subscriptions stay in its localStorage on this device. They are never sent to Netlify or to us. Like any web host, Netlify processes technical request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the service. We don’t use this data to track you. Fonts and icons are served from this site, not from third parties.
If you email us, the message is relayed by our domain registrar’s email forwarding (Porkbun) and used only to reply to you.
Your data, your control
From the ⋯ menu in the app, “Export JSON” downloads a backup and “Delete all data…” erases everything. Clearing your browser’s site data also removes it.
