How to download your TD (EasyWeb) transactions as a file

Short answer: In EasyWeb on a computer, open your account's Account Activity page, pick a time period, then at the bottom use the drop-down next to Download, choose Spreadsheet (.CSV) and select Download. Subloupe has a built-in preset for TD credit card CSV files; for bank accounts, you may need to pick the date, description and amount columns.

Before you start

Download your transactions in EasyWeb

These steps come from TD's own help pages (see sources below).

  1. Sign in to EasyWeb in a web browser on a computer.
  2. On the Accounts page, select the account you want.
  3. On the Account Activity page, select the time period.
  4. At the bottom of the page, open the drop-down next to Download and choose Spreadsheet (.CSV).
  5. Select Download and save the file.

Another way: TD also has a Download Transactions screen (from My Accounts, the down arrow next to the Personal/Business toggle). It offers Quicken, QuickBooks, Spreadsheet (CSV) and Simply Accounting formats, but it only covers activity since your last download, up to 45 days. The Account Activity download above is usually better.

TD credit cards: on the card's activity page, the View Transactions drop-down lets you pick one of your last six statement periods. Look for the same download option there; we couldn't confirm it on TD's help pages.

Which format to choose

Format Use it? Notes
Spreadsheet (.CSV) Yes, recommended Built-in preset for TD credit card files. For chequing or savings files, you may need to pick the date, description and amount columns
Quicken (.qfx) Yes, if offered Read directly, like OFX files from any bank
PDF statement No Subloupe can't read PDFs

How far back can you go?

On the Account Activity page you choose the time period. For credit cards, TD lists your last six statement periods. The Download Transactions screen is limited to 45 days.

One month of statements is enough to start; add more months to catch yearly renewals. If your bank limits each download, save several files that cover consecutive periods and import them together. A few days of overlap between files is fine.

Import the file into Subloupe

  1. Open the statement import.
  2. Drop your file or files, or choose them. Your browser reads them on this device: nothing is uploaded, and Subloupe never asks for your bank login.
  3. TD credit card CSV files are recognized by the built-in preset. For a chequing or savings CSV, you may need to pick the date, description and amount columns.
  4. Select Add to dashboard to review. Nothing is decided in the import window: what it found appears on your dashboard under To review. For each charge, choose Keep, Not a subscription, Pause, Cancel it or Delete, or use Review all to Confirm all or Dismiss all at once. Phone, internet and energy bills are grouped under Bills and are only added if you tick them.

FAQ

Is there a fee to download transactions from TD? No. TD's help says there's no charge to download transactions.

Why does my download only have a few weeks? You may have used the Download Transactions screen, which covers activity since your last download, up to 45 days. Use the Account Activity page instead and pick a longer period.

Is it safe to import my bank statement? The file is read in your browser and never uploaded. Only what it finds is saved, in your browser, for you to review; the file and its transactions are discarded. You never share your bank password.
